Busing Release Form for Lunch Time Bible Class
If you attend Frankenmuth High School and plan on attending the lunch hour Bible studies, you must have a signed release form on file. You can pick one up at the Church Office reception desk or from the Rock by sending an email request to email@example.com. You may also download one by clicking here. Many of our Youth have taken care of this but for those of you who have not, we must have them before the start of school on September 8th. They should be dropped off at the Rock – use the mail slot on the brown door, just east of the deck.
Our missions committee is looking for those individuals who might be
interested in traveling to Nicaragua on some medical missions.
We are scheduled for October 30-November7, 2015, October 2016 and
February 2017. This will be my eighth trip. The mission trips have
been wonderful, from the new people you make connections with to
Pastor Fitz overseeing the changing of a flat tire. In 2014 we got to
witness Mike & Krista Kerns renew there wedding vows. That doesn’t
count the number of families we have shared Jesus Christ with. You
never know what blessing you might get from “Short Term Missions” until
you try it. If interested please contact Karen Zehnder 989-412-3205
“Reaching for Tomorrow” Capital Campaign
“Reaching for Tomorrow” is a capital campaign to fund our congregation’s effort to show our gratitude to those who have gone before us and our commitment to those who will come after us by constructing a new facility adjoining our historic church building.
This new facility will provide a Welcome Center for casual conversation and ministry information and a Reception Center for family gatherings for events such as funerals. In addition, we are also planning for meeting rooms that will provide space for Bible studies and other activities.
The center-piece of this facility will be a large worship space designed and constructed for the contemporary style of worship that has proven so effective in reaching out to new and life-long Christians alike.
At the campaign website reach-stlorenz.org you will find information and updates about the campaign and our progress toward meeting our goals.
Please join with all St. Lorenz members in praying: “Lord, what do You want to do through me to accomplish Your will for our church.”
One of the upgrades that was made in our new website was to our live streaming video of our worship services. The new streaming video is now available on your smartphone or tablet as well. The link to our live streaming feed, along with an archive of our sermon media, can be found on our Worship page.
VIDEO CREW MEMBERS needed to video the 8:00 & 9:30 church services and the second Sunday of the month German service. No experience necessary as you will be placed with other team members with experience and will video approximately once a month. Volunteers are also needed to video funerals.
