Congregational Support Ministries

Parish Health

The St. Lorenz Health Ministry is dedicated to helping improve the health and wellness of our congregation and the community at large. We do home visits for health and safety concerns, such as helping someone with safety checks, referral service, or checking medications. We are NOT a home-health, physical hands-on group we do not provide wound care or other such treatments. For information contact Connie Reinert 989.652.8537.

Heritage Committee

The Heritage Committee is interested in locating and receiving historical papers, pictures, and artifacts pertaining to the history of St. Lorenz congregation. We invite members and friends of St. Lorenz to submit items for possible inclusion in the museum’s permanent collection. We welcome members interested in the history of St. Lorenz, those that like to do historical research, design and set-up of displays, presentation of historical programs, and write historical news articles. Further, we need interested people to take care of our historical artifacts, museum, and other historical properties which include the first church replica and the old cemetery next to the museum. They can get involved by emailing Dan Haubenstricker or calling him at 989.652.3563.

Church Library

The head librarian and her assistants maintain and keep orderly the library room. They process all new materials — many of which are donated, but the head librarian will usually select and purchase new material as well. The library offers and makes available Christian-based reading books, DVDs, reference books, Bible studies, magazines, tracts, books on issues, and church and Frankenmuth history. For information about helping in the library call Diane Schiefer at 989.906.2877.
