Community Outreach Coordinator (Volunteer Position)

We are looking to fill a newly created part-time, volunteer position on our St. Lorenz team. The Community Outreach Coordinator will help to organize outreach efforts on behalf of our congregation. Teacher Aides

St. Lorenz Childcare is seeking caring and enthusiastic part-time Teacher Aides for our year-round program. K-8th grade after school care: 2:45-6:00pm M-F; Infant-Preschool - hours between 12:00-6:00 M-F.

 

Responsibiliites include: 

  • Assist lead teachers in creating a stimulating and engaging learning environment for young children
  • Participate in age-appropriate activities such as singing, storytelling, arts and crafts, and playtime
  • Help with daily routines such as mealtimes, diaper changes, and nap time
  • Observe and document children's development and progress
  • Communicate effectively with parents and teachers

 

Qualificiations: 

  • Experience working with children in a childcare setting or early childhood education program (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong patience, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and a passion for learning through play
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Physically able to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and kneeling
