Together We Build

A Pledge Campaign for St. Lorenz School

The Vision

At St. Lorenz, our mission is simple yet life-changing:  to show others how beautiful it is to live with Jesus! Through our school ministry, we prepare students to grow as disciples, grounded in God’s Word and ready for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

Together We Build will allow us to continue offering the very best in Christ-centered education — with strong academics, enriching specials like art, music, and technology, and a nurturing environment where faith is woven into every subject. These improvements will help us prepare students not only for continued education, but for a lifetime of service and discipleship.

Why Together

Together We Build is not about repairing something broken—it’s about strengthening the foundation of who we are.

  • Christ-Centered Education – Every day, children experience the Gospel and learn how to live as disciples of Jesus.
  • Strong Academic Foundation – Our students are equipped for continued education with the skills, confidence, and character to succeed.
  • Creativity and Character – Through art, music, physical education, and technology, we develop God-given talents for His glory.
  • Generational Impact – These upgrades will bless families today and for decades to come.

A secure and accessible school entrance

Improving safety while creating a warm, welcoming first impression

A secure new main entrance and redesigned office space will improve access and safety.

  • Secure visitor entry and separate student entrance
  • New training/conference room for staff and parent meetings
  • Therapy space, consultation room, and sick bay
  • Expanded vestibule and storage space

Additional classrooms

Relationship-centered student-teacher ratios builds strong Christian relationships for better learning, behavior, faith growth, and parent connections

Plan for four new classrooms to be added: three for 1st grade and one Maker Space room for all elementary students to engage in creative, hands-on learning. Also includes a new preschool room and a new family bathroom in the Early Childhood wing.

  • Enables three classes per grade (1–5)
  • Provides separate, dedicated rooms for preschool and childcare (currently shared)
  • Staffing Impact: One additional elementary teacher

New learning spaces

Adding new spaces for a more vibrant and modern learning environment

A new multi-use classroom and a STEM lab will be added to the middle school wing.

  • Large Multi-Use Classroom (1,580 ft²) for combined classes and events
  • Replaces the use of the unsecured Adult Education room
  • STEM Classroom for robotics, engineering, electronics, 3D printing, and more
  • Staffing Impact: No additional staff required

Additional offices and maintenance upgrades

Supporting our school, staff, and administration

Additional office spaces for our leaders and expanded spaces to support our maintenance and custodial equipment.

  • Relocated offices for Principal, Assistant Principal, and Early Childhood Directors
  • New custodial equipment room to accommodate modern equipment, including floor cleaners
  • Maintenance shop addition to improve safety and storage

About the Campaign Process

Are you collecting donations now or just pledges?

We are currently collecting pledges (commitment cards) with giving planned to start in 2026. If you are interested in making a donation, you are welcome to make a gift at any time.

We are collecting pledges until November 2, in preparation for the November Voters’ Meeting.
The campaign giving period will cover three years—2026, 2027, and 2028.

If you would like to give early (in 2025), you are welcome to do so. If you would like to discuss a giving plan that extends beyond the three-year period, please contact us for more information.

If the campaign is not approved as proposed, everyone who has made a commitment will be notified shortly after the Voters’ Meeting. At that time, you will be given more information and options.

We treat your generosity with care. At St. Lorenz, confidentiality is of utmost importance. During the pledge phase, only two designated office staff members will access individual pledge information. For any questions about the process or your confidentiality, please reach out to Jeremy Frank at jfrank@stlorenz.org.

Thinking about making a commitment? We’re here to answer your questions and walk through the campaign with you. Contact the Church Office at church@stlorenz.org or 989-652-6141 to set up a time to meet.
