St. Lorenz is a congregation rooted in time, relevant for today, and reaching out to serve the needs of those in our surrounding communities. Our teaching is based on the truth of God’s Word, which gives encouragement, guidance, and direction to our lives. Our congregational mission statement, a part of St. Lorenz since our founding in 1845, expresses our purpose: “To show others how beautiful it is to live with Jesus.” As people who know we are loved by the Lord, we seek ways to share that love with others in our lives and ministries. St. Lorenz is a family of faith where you can belong, grow in your faith, and serve our community alongside us.
St. Lorenz offers two unique and engaging styles of worship. Our Sanctuary services are built on formal liturgy with music from the pipe organ, choirs, and other ensembles. A less formal service with music led by a band featuring singers, drums, and guitars is available at our services in the Worship Center. You are welcome to attend any of our weekend worship services and find the time and setting that works best for you and your family.

Sanctuary Services: These services offer times of reverence and reflection as we worship through a variety of liturgies and receive God’s wondrous gifts through the Word and Sacrament. Our worship through song includes hymns and music led by different ensembles and choirs.
Worship Center Services: This service includes well-loved praise music while staying faithful to the Lutheran tradition. The service is led by our pastors and a worship band. Join us each week for modern music and messages to help guide you in your walk of faith!
At St. Lorenz, we want you to feel at ease during your visit, including when it comes to what you wear. There’s no specific dress code. You’ll see people in jeans and T-shirts, as well as those in dresses or suits. You’ll feel right at home, no matter your attire.
At both of our locations, ample parking is available for all our visitors.
Sanctuary: You can find parking in the main lot adjacent to the church building with an entrance off of W. Tuscola St. and an entrance off of Mayer Rd.
